St. Patty’s Day (a.month.later)

Okay….so, we live in this really great neighborhood that does AMAZING parties and get-togethers for our kids. This was St. Patricks Day …. it started out a little creepy

with Lucky the Leprechaun creeping through our hiking trails with his head down and face hidden…IMG_7951 IMG_7952 IMG_7953 then he came up the stairs and all the kids started freaking out a littleIMG_7954After ripping off his cloak, there stood before us a weeeee little man
IMG_7955 Reeve never let him get out of his sight. He didn’t trust him…IMG_7956 IMG_7957 Lucky sat and told stories and taught the kids the colors of the rainbow. It kind of drove me nuts how he did ROY G BIV (Red Orange Yellow Green Blue Indigo Violet, but he said Dark Blue then Purple…..IMG_7958 We made Leprechaun Catchers…IMG_7959 IMG_7960 IMG_7961 Once he got comfortable with him, he walked *near* him and said, “what’s your favorite color?” to him…it was so cute!IMG_7962 he took a piece of candy from him….of course. He should’ve led with the candy so all the kids weren’t scared.IMG_7964 IMG_7965 IMG_7966 Then we came home and made Leprechaun Pie (Oreo Pie with green food coloring). My boys LOVED it….

IMG_7981Yep, at our house, every holiday is a Pinterest-worthy deal. I can use food dye with the best of them to make anything good enough for Pinterest. 🙂
